Overview of the meeting
Concluding at the meeting, Mr. Tran Quang Hoai put forward a number of actions for the coming time, in which he emphasized considering the formation of a number of medical warehouses in areas prone to natural disasters in case of a natural disaster.
In terms of disaster prevention communication - an important task, but at present, in the context of the epidemic, communication materials and methods are still limited. Therefore, the development of documents and propaganda on the mass media and grassroots information should be paid attention. In localities, it is necessary to review coping options when natural disasters occur, ensure safety for epidemic prevention and essential services. There is a need for procedural documents to ensure the safety of the people such as evacuation and relocation. In the face of complicated rain and flood events, scenarios for coping with heavy rain and floods in the context of COVID epidemic must be ready, facilities and tools to support rapid response are required.
Mr. Tran Quang Hoai suggested that the DRRP Office continue to strengthen information, knowledge, experience sharing and form a Technical support group to regularly exchange information, strengthen coordinate to support the Government and people to ensure safety from natural disasters in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic.
