The Viet Nam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority, FAO in Vietnam in collaboration with the Standing Office of the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quang Binh province organized the donation of 671 220-liter plastic barrels with open lids and iron buckles to 671 poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in Dong Trach commune - Bo Trach district, Vo Ninh commune - Quang Ninh district, Quang Son commune and Quang Tien commune - Ba Don town, Gia Ninh commune - Quang Ninh district.

The distribution of large plastic containers contributes to food security for hazardous households in flood-prone areas by enabling them to safely store food and essential items for use during typhoons and floods.
