Thanh Hoa province announced an emergency situation due to natural disasters causing landslides at Muong Ly Ethnic Boarding Secondary School.

Faced with the emergency situation, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Muong Ly Commune People's Committee to immediately deploy necessary measures to ensure the safety of people and property of students, teachers, and staff of the Interdisciplinary Working Group - Interdisciplinary Team No. 3 in the area at risk of being affected by landslides.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested Muong Ly commune to organize regular duty and closely monitor the development of landslides. In particular, install barriers and put up danger warning signs within the landslide area; inform and propagate to people and units in the area to proactively prevent and absolutely not allow people to enter dangerous areas, especially when there is rain or flood. At the same time, promptly develop, approve and deploy response plans in accordance with regulations.

For items of the Muong Ly Ethnic Boarding Secondary School Project (under construction) that were damaged or affected, the People's Committee of Muong Ly commune coordinated with related units to conduct surveys, inspections and assessments to clarify the causes, thereby promptly proposing solutions to immediately fix the construction problems to ensure technical requirements and long-term stability.

For existing items being used outside the scope of the project being implemented, conduct a survey and specific assessment of the scope, scale, level of damage and landslides and promptly develop a suitable treatment plan; report to competent authorities for consideration and decision on funding support for investment and implementation.

Thanh Hoa province also assigned relevant sectors and units according to their functions and tasks to be responsible for closely coordinating and providing specific instructions to the People's Committee of Muong Ly commune to organize the implementation to ensure compliance with regulations and completion in the shortest time.
