Per the pact, both sides will discuss policies, laws, regulations, and standards related to emergency management in natural disasters and foster collaboration in monitoring and early warning disasters and staff training.

They also boost the application of information technology and advanced equipment, as well as information sharing, in establishing a system to provide national emergency supplies.
In addition, both countries vowed to strengthen ties within the regional cooperation framework, such as the ASEAN Agreement on Disaster Management and Emergency Response (AADMER).
