Due to the prolonged heavy rainfall in 2025, severe landslides and subsidence have occurred along National Highway 4D, particularly from Km27+120 to Km27+200, posing serious safety risks for both pedestrians and vehicles.
Specifically, on the right side of the road at this section, two interconnected sinkholes have formed, spaced 15–20 meters apart. The damage has resulted in the collapse of approximately one-third of the road surface, with visible signs of further expansion—presenting a high risk to public safety.

The Provincial People's Committee has ordered the immediate implementation of emergency measures: monitoring and timely intervention at the disaster site; enhancing inspections, erecting warning signs and barriers; as well as deploying on-site personnel to monitor and manage traffic flow, strictly prohibiting passage through the affected lane.
Relevant departments and agencies have been assigned responsibilities to respond and recover from the disaster. The Department of Construction is tasked with maintaining traffic warning systems and coordinating with relevant forces to guide and regulate traffic to ensure safety. The department is also responsible for closely monitoring the ongoing deterioration of the road and applying urgent response measures to minimize damage caused by the disaster or infrastructure failure. It must also fulfill any other duties as required by the situation and authorized instructions, and ensure the accuracy of reported data.
Meanwhile, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, along with members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and relevant units, are responsible for proactively monitoring the disaster situation, consolidating reports, and documenting the province-wide impacts and damages as per regulations.
