On September 25, the inspection team of the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue (the Central Steering Committee) inspected the work of disaster prevention and response in 2020 in Nha Trang city.

According to the report of the City People's Committee, Nha Trang has strengthened the organization of the Steering Committee in 2020 and assigns tasks to the members; issued disaster response plans according to the level of natural disaster risk in 2020 and plans for natural disaster response and search and rescue in 2020. 27/27 communes and wards have completed and approved natural disasters response plan and implementation plans. All plans must be implemented before the rainy season and thoroughly follow the "4-on-the-spot", "3-ready" motto. The city has inspected 86 points and critical locations where landslide is likely to occur; 106 points and critical locations where local flooding is likely to occur. Basically, all lakes in the area are ensured safe for operation before the 2020 rainy season. The city proposes to physically check 2 landslide locations in 2018 at the Hoang Phu urban area project (Vinh Hoa ward) and the area behind Lam Ti Ni pagoda (Phuoc Dong commune).

The inspection team agreed on the city's natural disaster prevention and response plans; suggested the city continue to do well in propaganda; review activities of commune disaster prevention and control teams; thoroughly ensure 24/24 hours on duty.
