The ancient Fenghuang was severely affected by heavy rains that caused floods in many areas of China.

The ancient Fenghuang Phoenix town located on a branch of the Yangtze River in Hunan Province has been seriously flooded these days.

A video posted by locals on social media shows the flood flowing through a street. There are flooded areas up to the shoulders that make at least 20 people trapped.

In more modern areas, vehicles and pedestrians struggle to navigate between the floods.

Since early June, heavy rains have affected the lives of over 12 million people in 26 provinces and cities in China. Heavy rains caused simultaneous flooding in the upstream of the Yangtze and Yellow River.

According to the National Meteorological Center's forecast, heavy rain will continue for the next few days in some areas including the central region and northern Hunan province.

The Central also issued storm alerts for 30 consecutive days, which is rare in recent years. Accordingly, showers or thunderstorms will continue to appear in Northern and Northeast China, Hoang Hoai area.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Water Resources of China and the Chinese meteorological agencies forecast that part of the Yellow River, the Hai Hoa River, the Pearl River, the Hejiang River, and the Heilongjiang River System and the Dongting Lake System, the middle region The Yangtze River will experience a great flood this summer.
