The ASEAN Coordination Center for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Center) has delivered aid goods to people affected by natural disaster in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri provinces, including 500 home repair kits and 650 kitchen sets for each province in order to support people in flood-affected areas overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and quickly settle down.



Since the beginning of October 2020, the storms No. 6 and No. 7 have caused rains and floods on the river in the Central coastal area, which affect to more than 7 million people in the affected area; thousands of hectares of rice and crops were damaged and so on. Since October 16, due to the effects of tropical depressions, heavy rains continued, the phenomenon of "flood on flood" caused heavy damage to lives and production of the affected people.

By serious damage caused by floods and rains, the Party and State of Vietnam have been urgently implementing actions to timely respond recovery, supporting people to reduce natural disaster damage.Sharing the difficulties and losses of the Vietnamese people, the AHA Center delivered relief goods to people in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri provinces, including 500 home repair kits and 650 kitchen sets for each province. in order to help people in flood-affected areas overcome the consequences of natural disasters, and quickly back to their normal life.

Aid goods were transferred from the ASEAN warehouse in Malaysia and delivered at the Cargo terminal - Da Nang airport on the morning of October 21.

AHA Center Provides Relief Goods Ceremony to the Central Region of Viet Nam

Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control – Viet Nam Disaster Management Authority is urgently working with the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue in Thua Thien Hue and Quang Tri provinces to deliver relief goods to people affected by natural disaster areas as soon as possible.
