According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting, from April 8- 9, in Southern provinces, it is likely that there will be showers and thunderstorms, locally with moderate rain, heavy rain, concentrated in the evening and night. During thunderstorms, tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds may occur.



In order to proactively cope with and mitigate losses in the event of the above natural disasters, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requests the Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, Search and Rescue of the Northern and North Central provinces/cities to implement the following contents:

- Closely monitor warning and forecast reports on natural disasters and weather to notify promptly and regularly for authorities and people to take initiative measures to ensure safety for people and property.

- Check and review the residence of people, especially in areas with high risks of thunderstorms, lightning and hail. Ready to proactively respond to situations, especially the arrangement of assault forces, on-site materials and facilities to implement measures ensuring safety for the people and organize the remedy activities. Be quick, timely and effective.

- Direct the information and communication agencies, especially the grassroots information line, to enhance propaganda activities, popularize and guide the people on how to recognize and deal with thunderstorms, hail, and strong wind such as: reinforcing, protecting the roof using materials that are prone to speeding and rupture (proxima, tile); shielding and protecting vegetables, plants and animals in accordance with specific local conditions to minimize damages. - Arrange strict on-duty team to regularly report on the situation of natural disasters and damage to the Central Steering Committee on PCF (through the standing office before 7am and 4pm daily and via Viber No: 0828.008.558; Email: pcttvietnam@mard.gov.vn).
